sleeping in

I love my tuesdays and thursdays. I don’t have class until 5pm so I looooove to sleep in. I didnt wake up until 2pm this afternoon. Caitlin, my best friend at VCU/suitemate came and woke me up because she needed to borrow $20. She drove me to Home Team Grill (where I work as a hostess) so I could pick up my paycheck, then we went to Wachovia and I cashed it and lent her the $20, which I know she will pay back tomorrow since she’s a waitress and will be home with lots of cash tonight. After that I didn’t do much. I went to the bookstore and bought index cards so I could study tonight for my history test tomorrow. Then I went to math class and took a quiz. Pretty boring day.

I just got back from the Kappa Sigma vs. Delta Chi football game. I went with Dani, Allison, and Katie. We thought it’d be funny to make t-shirt to wear there so Allison bought a pack of white t-shirts and a pack of colored sharpies and we decorated them. hahahah. I know its gay but that’s the whole point. Delta Chi ended up winning, ofcourse, considering they have much bigger guys in their fraternity. Other than that my day was pretty boring. Although on the plus side I actually went to Physiology class today, rare occurance. =) peaceee

3rd roommate

Its still early in the second semester and I’m already on my third roommate. Before you go and assume Im some crazy bitch let me explain hahaa. My first roommate, Katie, moved out of the dorms during the 2nd week of school because her parents live on Floyd St. and decided it was a waste of money seeing as she lives so close (that plus she had a bit of a drug problem….ackward). My next roommate, Ilesha, was actually really cool. We got along really well and everything, we didn’t talk much, we mostly bonded over talking shit about our insane suitemates who we shared the bathroom with. They were NUTS, they’d always leave up little notes everywhere, I won’t even go into it. Ilesha was the only person I got long with in my suite, everyone was so drastically different from each other. So i spent the majority of my time right down the hall in the next suite down, where I am good friends with EVERYONE who lives there. Two of the girls in that suite, Saba and Lindsey were roommates until Lindsey got menningitis (not the fatal type but still serious) so she’s missed alot of school and recently had to withdraw altogether. Welllll that left an empty bed in the suite Im always in so Saba asked me to live with her. =) I moved in yesterday and I love it in here. Hence, roommate #3.

my valentines day (yesterday)

last night for valentines day, my friend JT, who is a brother in kappa sigma, asked me to be his date to his fraternity’s valentines day date party. it was alot of fun. All of my good friends were also invited by other brothers so it was really cool to be with everyone I love on such an affectionate day hahah. There was food and music and dancing and I had a blast. At one point during the night I received a call from my ex boyfriend and he told me that he and a few of friends from ferrum college ( down near roanoke) are coming to vcu for this weekend! I cant wait. His name is Kent and he is my best friend from back home. We had a rough breakup and things have been on and off ever since but it will be really nice to see a familiar face. I miss him alot.

I havent gone out since Saturday night. I’m really trying to get my shit together lately. First semester I was down to get wasted every night and do my homework 10 minutes before class, but lately Ive been realizing that Ive been acting stupid by doing such. I want to actually learn the things Im supposed to be learning and get good grades so I can actually do something with myself in my life. I want more structure in my life. I was kinda crazy first semester because I went from WAY strict parents (11:30 curfew even senior year!) to being able to do whatever I wanted. Also I went from an 18month relationship to being single. Im still not ready for another boyfriend but Im tired of talking to stupid boys, Im ready for some sort of stability, just like someone I can “be with” but at the same time NOT be with. i dont know. That sounds stupid. I just think the friends I have (WHO I LOVE) tend to influence me to go out way more than I should. So I want to have somebody else I can hang out with so that my options arent limited to either 1. get drunk everynight or 2. be alone in my room all night. Because I will always pick #1. This is way long but my point was that even though its hard, Im trying to get my life together.

This Friday I met the (excuse my french) biggest ASSHOLE cop in Richmond, possibly the world. It was 6pm and my friends Dani and Cali came to the dorms to pick me up so we could go over to Kroger. After about 2 minutes in the car we get pulled over on Broad St. The cop says the car’s tags were expired, it was Cali’s car but Dani was driving. The cop then shines his flashlight into the backseat where I am and what are the odds but there is an empty beer can in the cup holder in front of me that some kids left in her car 2 nights previously. I had no idea it was there and my heart sunk when he shone his light on it. He asked if it was mine and I said no. He then asked us all for our ids. Somehow Dani got the ticket for Cali’s expired tags and I got the ticket for underage alcohol possesion because I was the closest in proximity. I asked for a breathlizer to prove I was sober and he denied me. This cop was a stupid jerk and proceeded to smirk in my face as Im crying. I cant wait until my courtdate when the judge lets me off on account of the cop being a dumbass. That was my lovely weekend.

Productive

I feel like I’ve been extremely productive today. I completed 6 chapters worth of “mymathlab” assignments which took me FOREVER, I worked the lunch shift, I went to class, then I came back to my room and did more homework and organized the hell out of my desk area. I sitting at my desk right now trying to make plans even though its 11:30 because I can’t stand being in my room all night. I feel like Im missing out or something. Anyways I think my friend Dani is going to come pick me up in like 10mins because we’re both antsy to do something and hang with people. Its weird that I was completely fine with the whole away from home thing last semester but lately Ive been feeling kinda homesick. Probably just because my mom and my ex boyfriend and my sister and my brother have all been calling me alot over the past week. I love it here but its sad to think that an era of my life is over, and has been for quite a few months. Maybe things will go back to normal over the summer though. OKay well Im going to go get dressed now so I can go out.

2nd Week

I guess its about time that I write another entry seeing as Im supposed to update this 5 times a week. My first weekend back at school was insane. I went out with friends every night and had a lot of fun. Today I realized that i better get caught up on my massiva loads of homework before its too late so Im currently in the computer lab of Brandt since my computer is slow as anything. Unfortunately “mymathlab” software isnt working here so i guess i’ll have to borrow a computer from a friend to do my pre-calc homework. I have a lot of reading to do for history 101, phisiology, and sociology. This semester is already cramping my social life but I guess that was bound to happen eventually in college and I’m at least grateful that I lived it up to the fullest during 1st semester when I could afford to without failing anything. After all this I am going to go to the gym because I need to get into that habit most definately. Freshman 15 does not sound like fun so all I’ve eaten today was a salad and an apple. This is going to suck. haha. Anyways I can’t think of much else to say right now so PEACE!

The Weather Matches My Mood

I didn’t get in until 5am this morning. Me and some of my girlfriends went to Have a Nice Day Cafe last night because our friend Kevin bartends there and put us on the list so we got in for free. It was alot of fun minus the creepy 30 something years olds and the sweatiness. We got back to the dorms by 2 but I couldnt sleep and one of my friends invited me over to the Delta Chi house on CLay St. to hang out with some people so I went over and hung out until about 5am, at which point nobody was in a condition to drive me back so I took the risk of calling VCU Escort Services ( basically the police) to drive me back. Anyways somehow I managed to wake up this morning, only to find that it was freezing and rainy outside…and I still havent bought an umbrella Anyways I then went to my 1pm Sociology class. I found out that my friend Susan is in that class with me which was pretty cool. Then I came back to my dorm and looked up my Wachovia bank acocutn online to see if my check had been deposited yet …. only to discover that instead of 120$ that i deposited yesterday, I am somehow at -70 $ :( I HATE WACHOVIA OVERDRAFT FEES … I’ve paid that bank literally hundreds in the past few months alone. I dont understand why if I have no money on my card it allows me to use it????? My Navy Federal check card declines me when I’m broke instead of stealing $35 of my money per overdraft. Now Im sitting here trying to study 3 maps of europe, the middle east, and the mediterranean for my history map quiz tomorrow. I want this day to end immediately.
